Bust Those Breakouts!

Last week we spoke about how to keep your hands moist in the winter, and now it's time to talk about your face! The problem with a TON of facial washes is that they make your skin dry. If you see "alcohol" as an ingredient on the back of your daily breakout medicine or wash that is likely what is causing additional dryness. Arbonne offers an incredible product called the Clarifying Acne Wash Medication which is part of their Arbonne Clear Advantage line.

Another thing that we LOVE about this particular product is that it exfoliates gently. So many of us have pesky blackheads that need to be scrubbed out, but a harsh exfoliant will only make our dry skin peel more. Acne medicines that exfoliate may also cause redness and irritation that is difficult to cover up with makeup (and that makeup could clog those newly-cleaned pores!). Skip those chemical-filled products and try out this soothing wash that is also hard on breakouts.

As part of the Clear Advantage Line, you can also try out the Clarifying Lotion Acne Medication post-cleanse or on its own. It's oil-free so it won't leave your skin looking overly shiny, but it will still work to make your face feel fresh and moisturized. As a bonus, it will also reduce acne and prevent new breakouts. A lotion that balances skin and clears blemishes all in one bottle? Sign us up! Well... we already did sign up, but if we didn't we would want to! Check back here on Wednesday so see what Lainie thinks about the products and to learn more about the botanical ingredients that will leave your face looking incredible!

Soft Hands Are the Key to Success

OK... maybe we're exaggerating a bit but think about it! The very first time you meet someone you shake their hand. In that second-long handshake you get a feel for what that person is all about, and you can certainly tell whether or not they take the time to moisturize. Lainie goes through this a lot. As a woman who runs her own business, she is constantly meeting new people and trying to make a great first impression. Especially since she works with her hands, it's important for her to keep them moisturized so that she looks professional. For those of you out there who are constantly around different products (whether it be hairspray or floor cleaner) and who need to wash your hands over and over again, it is so important to moisturize! Not only do dry hands give off a bad impression, but they are also downright uncomfortable to deal with.

You might be surprised by this, but Lainie has plenty of male clients. Arbonne offers products for all people with all different kinds of skin, so these wonderful items should not be something for men to shy away from! Case in point: one of Lainie's clients (who will remain nameless) had really dry hands. He used everything out there from moisturizers, to creams to oils and nothing worked. When he went to see Lainie he had small bandages over the cracks in his hands, and he felt like there was nothing out there for him. Lainie pointed him toward Arbonne's FC5 Ultra-Hydrating Hand Crème and he hasn't turned back. Since then, he's been able to take off the bandages and shake hands with confidence! If you have any questions about your hands, just e-mail Lainie at beautybylainie@gmail.com.

Dry Hands? We've got a solution!

Internet malfunctions would just not allow us to post yesterday but today we have an exciting product to share with you! In the last months of winter, everyone is still dealing with their dry hand issues. Your hands become cracked, even itchy and it seems like no moisturizer will work. Look no further! This FC5 Ultra-Hydrating Hand Crème is a true miracle-worker.

The hand creme, like all Arbonne products, contains no yucky chemicals meaning that you are free to eat or apply lip gloss after using it. (Can you imagine putting your hands in your mouth after using a chemical-filled skincare product?) We found this great commercial for Arbonne's FC5 line, which includes nourishing hair and skin products! The reason why this product stands out from the rest is in the name; FC5 stands for Fresh Cells 5 Fruits and Veggies. By Fresh Cells they mean cells found in nature, like the kiwi cell extracts used in this soothing, moisturizing hand creme.

On Wednesday we are going to tell you how Arbonne's moisturizers have helped one of Lainie's male clients, and how she uses them in her day-to-day life.

Figure 8

On Sunday we introduced you to the Figure 8 product and now we're going to tell you how you can get involved and benefit from it! Lainie loves the vanilla-flavored protein shakes and serves the Detox tea to the clients at her hair salon while they are waiting for an appointment. Everyone has raved about the tea, but her biggest client success story came just a few weeks ago. One of Lainie's clients lost 37 pounds in 12 weeks by incorporating Go Easy! Protein Shakes into their diet and maintaining good exercise and a healthy eating plan. But planning to use the Figure 8 products is just the first step; you also need support!

In addition to all of the resources on the site such as meal planners, a list of nutrition-dense fruits and vegetables, a list of suggested food substitutions and plenty of healthful recipes, the site also has fantastic message boards. You can interact with other Figure 8 product users to learn their tips and tricks and find an online "buddy" so that you can set and accomplish goals together. One great thing that Arbonne consultant's are doing is forming buddies amongst their clients. Each month they do a weigh-in "Biggest Loser"-style and the clients support one another throughout the month through encouraging e-mails, phone calls and meetings. You can do this on your own by forming groups such as office co-workers or the local soccer team Moms and Dads and checking out the product and website together. If you are interested in learning how to join one of these teams or would like to start one with the help of a consultant, just send Lainie an e-mail and she can help you out!

Welcome!

About a year or so ago Lainie was introduced to Arbonne products by a girlfriend and she instantly became hooked. She loved that the products are 100% vegan. She loved that the brand and its products are Swiss-made. She loved how fresh her skin looked. She loved that Arbonne was about to celebrate its 30th year in business. Most of all, she loved that she could become part of it all.

Lainie's life is hectic to begin with; she's a wife, a busy mother of two and operates a hair salon out of her home. With over 20 years of experience in the hairdressing business though, she wanted to be able to offer the whole package. No matter how busy life gets Lainie believes that everyone deserves to feel beautiful and once Arbonne did that for her, she wanted to be able to share Arbonne's products with everyone.

The purpose of this blog is to raise awareness of Arbonne and its incredible line of beauty care products and also to give people a resource when purchasing Arbonne products (is your skin dry, oily? looking to accentuate your eyes? Lainie can help you out!). Every Sunday we will be introducing a new product to you, and every Wednesday we will provide you with more information on the product including testimonials from Lainie's clients plus Lainie's own experience and tips regarding that product. Since today is our first posts, we're going to be talking about the Figure 8 line of products.

When a person thinks of a first, they usually also think of trying to lose weight. The first of January (how many of us kept our New Year's resolutions? Not us!), a first date or the first day back at school. Think back to all of these ""firsts"" and the promises you made to yourself about them, and think if you were able to keep them. Well, with Arbonne's Figure 8 product you actually will!

It's pretty simple: you replace one to two meals a day with delicious, fiber-filled Go Easy protein shakes and incorporate these into a healthy eating and active lifestyle. The Figure 8 website is an incredible resource for those of us who are lost in our weight loss goals (and who isn't?!). The website will provide you with all of the products that the line offers plus meal plans and great tips for really (really!) accomplishing your weight-loss goals. On Wednesday we will be showing you what Arbonne clients and consultants are doing to lose those extra pounds, plus we'll be giving you a testimonial from one of Lainie's clients. In the meantime, check out the website and we'll see you on Wednesday!
